3 Post-Seminar TIPS to Make the Most Out of a Live Event and Avoid Overwhelm
There is so much euphoria and energy that you get from going into a live seminar, with all the new connections and the new learning that you hope could elevate your business. Thing is, when you get back home laundry is piled up, your email is overflowing, and you feel drained. There’s too much to do and you don’t even know where to start implementing!
Here are 3 tips you can do to make the most out of the live event you attended.
1. Give yourself space as soon as you get back. You may have the tendency to freak out with all the things that you need to do, but give yourself some space to breathe. Then, take things one step at a time. Unpack, have a place for all your seminar goodies, and batch similar tasks together. Make sure you get some sleep and rest to regenerate your body. That way, you will have more energy to get back on track.
2. Review your seminar notes and decide on one thing that you will immediately implement in your business. Jot notes for questions that comes up. Hopefully, your seminar host has a post-event Q&A to get them answered. Otherwise, reach out to a seminar buddy you can compare notes with.
3. Touch base with your new connections. You didn’t meet all these amazing people just to not do anything. Call potential clients and JV partners to clarify your next step. Email all the rest of your new contacts to let them know how glad you are to meet them. You may also offer them a freebie from your website.
